Recently ME&C were involved in a truck recovery operation. A semi-trailer loaded with gravel inadvertently attempted to cross a bridge with a 15 tonne loaded limit. The bridge collapsed under the load leaving the truck and trailer hanging precariously in the Billabong Creek.

The recovery operation required the ME&C 200 tonne Demag crane in conjunction with another 50T crane. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the accident and the damage to the truck was surprisingly minor.
